This past Sunday, the Lumina Project had the honor of partnering once again with Home Sweet Home Ministries (HSHM) to serve at their resident/community brunch. Board members Evan Irwin, Parker Newton, and I worked together to provide meals for over 30 community members, giving back to those in need and offering a moment of connection and care. The experience was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do—helping others and showing up for our community is what fuels the heart of the Lumina Project.

The day wasn’t just about serving meals; it was also about fostering deeper relationships with the HSHM staff and residents. Each interaction we had strengthened the bonds we’ve built over the previous weeks, creating a foundation of trust and understanding. It’s clear that partnerships like these are essential not only for the immediate impact they have on those we serve but also for creating lasting change and connections in our local community.
At the Lumina Project, we are committed to serving others in whatever capacity we can. Our ongoing partnership with HSHM is a testament to our mission, and we look forward to many more Sundays spent together in service, compassion, and community building.
