Medical Necessities Initiative

As a part of our Medical Necessities Initiative (NMI), the Lumina Project intends to source and distribute a plethora of medical products as well as provide clinical services that are greatly needed in the Central Illinois community. Our approach will be seasonal and tailored to the disparities experienced by those affected at that time.

The current products/services provided and those we aim to supply are showcased below and remain subject to change.

Medical Products

Naloxone (Narcan)

Intranasal & IM or SQ Injectable

Feminine Products

Tampons, sanitary pads, menstrual cups/discs, general health kits.

First-Aid Kits

General supplies including (but not limited to): sterile bandages, gauze, medical-grade tape, antiseptic wipes, tweezers, scissors, water-proof band-aids, antibacterial ointment.

Health Monitoring Devices

Glucometers, testing strips, home cholesterol monitors, among other measurement tools.

Antigen Testing Kits

This product would primarily test for seasonally relevant illnesses including but not limited to Influenza A/B, SARS CoV-2, RSV.

Clinical Community Services

Vitals Examination

Blood pressure, pulse oximetry, temperature, respiratory rate, blood glucose, BMI, vision/oral health screening, dietary surveys, physical activity assessment.
