LP Awarded $500 Walmart Spark Good Award

We are proud to announce that the Lumina Project has been awarded a $500 grant through Walmart’s Spark Good program. We offer a special thanks to Walmart Facility #4815, Sam's Club on Shepard Rd, who made this funding opportunity possible.

What is the Walmart Spark Good Program?

Walmart’s Spark Good initiative is designed to strengthen local communities by supporting nonprofit organizations through grants, donations, and volunteer engagement. Each year, local Walmart stores and facilities provide grants ranging from $250 to $5,000 to organizations making a direct impact in their communities.

These grants are awarded to organizations that demonstrate strong community impact, clear mission alignment, and a commitment to serving local needs, values that are at the heart of everything we do.

Why This Matters

This $500 grant may seem modest, but for a grassroots nonprofit like ours, it represents something much bigger:

• Validation of our mission to serve vulnerable populations

• Investment in our community outreach efforts

• Momentum to expand our impact across Central Illinois

At The Lumina Project, 100% of donations and funding go directly toward outreach, supplies, and initiatives that support those in need. This grant will help us continue providing essential resources through initiatives like medical supply distribution, community support programs, and volunteer-driven outreach efforts.
